Description	:	Funeral services were conducted in the First Presbyterian Church, Saturday, at 2:00 p. m., for Henry Weldon Jones with the Rev. Robert Carey officiating. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Pall bearers were Raymond Johnson, Carl Strom, Edward Oliver, Robert Wegner, Reuben Quincer and Byron Hughes. Following an extended and confining illness, Mr. Jones passed away at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Webster, June 25, 1958, at the age of 82 years. Henry Weldon Jones was born near Marquette, Neb., in a sod house, Feb. 21, 1876, of pioneer parents. He attended a country school, the Marquette school and Fremont Commercial College, Fremont, Neb. On Sept. 26, 1905, Mr. Jones was united in marriage to Priscilla Hall at York, Neb. They made their first home on the original Jones homestead, where their first daughter Phyllis was born. The family came to South Dakota in 1910, to a farm south of Groton. Here a second daughter Helen was born. Mr. and Mrs. Jones resided on this farm until 1954 when they moved into Groton. Mr. and Mrs. Jones celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1955 with a happy gathering of friends and relatives from near and far. Mr. Jones was a member of the Presbyterian church of Groton. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Comstock, Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Alois (Helen) Kopp, Bismarck, N. D.; two brothers, Frank of Grand Junction, Colo., and Eldon of Detroit, Mich., and two grandchildren, Kent and Dana Comstock. Relatives attending the last rites from away, besides his children, were Mrs. A. B. Chain, Seward, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Meininger and children of Janesville, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. John Hall of Aberdeen.
