He married Gwendolene E. Troxel on July 27, 1939 in Ottumwa. He farmed in Wapello and Davis counties for many years and also was employed by the John Deere Ottumwa Works for 20 years, retiring in 1971. "Pete" Fiedler 83, of Eldon died at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 22, 1994 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was born March 17, 1911 in Wapello Co. to Franklin E. and Mary Crook Fiedler. He married Gwendolene E. Troxel on July 27, 1939 in Ottumwa. He farmed in Wapello and Davis counties for many years and also was employed by the John Deere Ottumwa Works for 20 years, retiring in 1971. He was a 50 year member of the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge in Agency and formerly a member of Tiger Lake Church in Florida. He is surv. by his wife; three sons, four dau., 19 grch; 14 ggrch and a sister Eleanor Grosvenor of Floris. He was preceded in death by a dau., Terri Rae Fiedler and two brothers John B. and Frank H. Fiedler. The serv. will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Kremer funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in the Fiedler Cem. near Floris. Pallbearers will be Gary McDaniel, Gilbert Houk, Steve Harward, Bill Thomas Jr., John Essary and Ray Boas. Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. today at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
