Description	:	Herbert A. Kohlhorst, 82, 1026 Edward St., St. Marys, died at 7:24 a.m. Sept. 3, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Waldron, Kan., to Leonard and Eunice Parker Kohlhorst. On Jan. 18, 1948, he married Donna Geotz who survives. Also surviving are a son, David (Patricia), and a daughter, Denise (Veryl) Cisco, both of St. Marys; two brothers, Marlin (Martha) of St. Marys and Leonard (Rheba) of Montgomery, Ala.; three sisters, Annette (Raymond) Goetz, Spencerville, Dorothy Walden, Clarkston, Mich., and Virginia (James) Wierwille, Celina; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A grandson is deceased. He retired from the Ohio Division of Parks, where he was responsible for dredging at Grand Lake St. Marys, and was the owner of Herbieís Lures. He previously worked at St. Marys Woolen Mill and Westin Paper Mill, also of St. Marys. He served as a flight engineer aboard a B-24 bomber with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and received the distingquished Flying Cross and Air Medal. He was a member of American Legion Post 323, St. Marys, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, Spencerville. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Groff officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
