Description	:	Frankfort, Kansas, Index Saturday, March 5, 1921 Herbert Edwin McMichael was born at the old McMichael home near Vermillion, Kansas on May 13, 1883, and departed this life at the same place on Sunday, February 27, 1921 at 11:45 a.m., at the age of 37 years, 9 months and 19 days. He grew to manhood on the old homestead and was married to Georgia C. Moffit in the First Presbyterian church in Marys- ville, Kansas on June 3,1908 with Reverend Layborn officiating. He grew to manhood on the old homestead and was married to Georgia C. Moffit in the First Presbyterian church in Marys- ville, Kansas on June 3,1908 with Reverend Layborn officiating. After their marriage they started house- keeping on the farm adjoining the old home place. To this union was born one child, Kenneth Moffit McMichael on April 2, 1911 and he passed away on May 18, 1911 at the age of 6 weeks. They remained in their home for three years then moved to Frankfort, Kansas and then moved to Clyde, Kansas, where he has been engaged in the Crump Hard- ware store for the past few years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge at Clyde. The people of Clyde were wonderful in their unceasing kindness and loving attention, through the many months of Herbert’s illness. His beloved wife and dear parents were untiring in their efforts to assist him, but with all the efforts, it was to no avail. He is survived by his wife, Georgia, his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.E. McMichael, a brother, Harry McMichael and sister, Mrs. Will Sunderland. Funeral services were held at the home of His parents on Tuesday afternoon with Reverend J.L. Barholomew of the Clyde Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was in the Vermillion Cemetery, Vermillion, Kansas.
