Description	:	October 30, 1994 WENATCHEE - Herman A. Janssen, 91, of Wenatchee and a former resident of the Waterville area, died Friday, Oct. 28, 1994, in Colonial Vista Convalescent Center. He was born Nov. 16, 1902, to John and Rosa (Mathis) Janssen, near Douglas, and received his early education at Midway School. Mr. Janssen and his brothers operated a wheat and cattle ranch until his retirement in 1979. He continued to help in the harvest until 1985. He was born Nov. 16, 1902, to John and Rosa (Mathis) Janssen, near Douglas, and received his early education at Midway School. Mr. Janssen and his brothers operated a wheat and cattle ranch until his retirement in 1979. He continued to help in the harvest until 1985. He married Edith Clark Gormley on June 19, 1956, at Tacoma and they lived at the home ranch until moving to Waterville in 1973. They moved to Wenatchee in 1990. Mr. Janssen was a member of the Waterville Assembly of God Church, a past master of Waterville Grange and the Waterville Odd Fellows, and a member of the Washington Wheat Growers and the Douglas County Cattlemen's Association. He is survived by his wife, at the home; a son, LeRoy Gormley of Waterville; a brother, Alvin of East Wenatchee; a sister, Dena Puffert of Seattle; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a son. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home.
