Read More	Obituary from Toledo Chronicle, July 10, 1930: Herman Arp, Clutier, Died Last Thursday; Funeral Held Monday Herman Arp, 55 who had been ill for the last seven months of cancer of the lungs, died at 6:30 o'clock last Thursday evening at his home one mile east of Clutier. Mr. Arp had spent his entire life in the Clutier community. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Nena, a teacher in the Tama county rural schools; Charles, 15 years old, and Harry, 7. His eldest daughter died in infancy. He also is survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Peter Tams,near Clutier; Mrs.Jurgen Jebe, Laporte City, and Ed Arp, Fayette. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. Mr. Domres, pastor of the Dysart Lutheran Church. Herman and Anna farmed 1 1/2 miles east of Clutier until his death. He was widely known for raising sheep. For many years, he would purchase western lambs and feed them until they were ready for slaughter.
