Zietlow's body was found about 5 p.m. by his wife, Evelyn. Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church here at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Paul Lutz will officiate. Burial will be in the Fontanelle cemetery. Mr. Zieltow had been operating his tractor in a field some distance from the house. He and his wife were planning to attend a teachers' reception at Fontanelle last night. When he had not returned to the house by 5 p.m. to prepare for the dinner, Mrs. Zietlow went to the field to call him. She found the tractor in a ditch with Zietlow pinned between the tractor seat and a leaning tree in a ditch. The tractor was in reverse gear and one wheel was still turning. It appeared the accident had occurred some time earlier. Zietlow was dead when his wife discovered the accident. It appeared that Zietlow had been backing the tractor when the ground gave way at the edge of the ditch. He had suffered crushing injuries to his chest. Dr. C.D. Shope, Adair county coroner, was called. Zietlow was a lifetime resident of the Fontanelle vicinity. He is survived by his widow; four children, David, Paul, Colleen and John, all at home; a brother, William Zietlow of Fontanelle; and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Jensen of Fontanelle.
