Description	:	Herman Joseph Oligmueller was born September 16, 1899 at West Point, Nebraska to William and Anna (Harstick) Oligmueller. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. He attended parochial school in the West Point area until seventh grade. He moved to Hand County, South Dakota in 1920. He married Rose (Koeck), daughter of Leopold and Hedwig Koeck, February 10, 1925 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller. They raised ten children. He attended parochial school in the West Point area until seventh grade. He moved to Hand County, South Dakota in 1920. He married Rose (Koeck), daughter of Leopold and Hedwig Koeck, February 10, 1925 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller. They raised ten children. Herman served on the townhip, co-op, civil service and church boards. He and his family farmed and ranched in the Hand County area. He retired in Miller om 1972. Herman died October 29, 1998, at the age of 99, at Prairie Good Samaritan Center in Miller. Survivors include five daughters, Mary (Benny) Scheier of Salem, Donna Grossman of Tarkio, MO, Helen (Terry) Tarabetz of Pukwana, Rosemary (Marvin) Augspurger of Miller, Joyce (Pete) Royal of West Simsbury, CT;; five sons, Herman (Helen) of Salem, Joe (Sharon) of Miller, William (Audrey) of Miller, Fred (Beverly) of St. Lawrence, and Duane of Miller; 41 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella Schroeder of Redfield; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on October 3, 1976, six brothers, six sisters, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Funeral Mass: St. Ann's Catholic Church, Miller. Burial: St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery.
