He retired from Horne Brothers Inc. and was affectionately known as Butch to all of his co-workers. Mr. Deuell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Myrtle Wood Deuell ; his parents, John and Nannie Deuell and thirteen siblings. Mr. Deuell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Myrtle Wood Deuell ; his parents, John and Nannie Deuell and thirteen siblings. Left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Herman Wilson Deuell , Jr. and his wife, Juanita, William Henry Deuell and his wife, Christine, James Edward Deuell and his wife, Alice, Carolyn O'Rourke and her husband, Charles and Sandi Luthie and her husband, Bo. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-granddaughters. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
