Description	:	Herman Seeck Passes Away at Hastings; Burial at Creighton Herman C. Seeck was born in East Prussia, Germany, March 10, 1860. He died at Sunnyside in Hastings, Nebr. April 18, 1941. When a young man he came to this country, settling first in Wisconsin. In a short time he went to Franklin county, Nebraska and engaged in farming. Here he was married to Anna Rieck. The family lived on the farm until they... Read More	Herman Seeck Passes Away at Hastings; Burial at Creighton Herman C. Seeck was born in East Prussia, Germany, March 10, 1860. He died at Sunnyside in Hastings, Nebr. April 18, 1941. When a young man he came to this country, settling first in Wisconsin. In a short time he went to Franklin county, Nebraska and engaged in farming. Here he was married to Anna Rieck. After a period of farming the family moved to Campbell, Nebr., where he operated a country store. In 1911 he traded the store for a farm southwest of Creighton. The family lived on the farm until they moved to Creighton in 1929 and purchased an acreage in southwest Creighton where he resided until the early fall of 1939, when because of failing health, he went to live at Sunnyside in Hastings. As a young man he was a member of the Reformed church. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death. He leaves three sons, five daughters and four grandchildren. Brief, but impressive funeral services were held in Hastings in charge of the Methodist minister, Rev. Lyle of that place. The remains, accompanied by relatives were brought to Creighton Sunday afternoon and interment made in Greenwood cemetery with Rev.
