She was born Sept 24, 1884 in Wayne township, a daughter of Herman F and Marie Collmann Wolken. She spent her entire life in Wayne township and was educated in the rural schools there. On March 2, 1905, she was married to Ben Wolken at Wayne church. They farmed near Langworthy until moving to their present home in Langworthy in 1946. She was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Survivors include her husband, Ben of Langworthy; a sister, Mrs. Mary Dirks, Langworthy, and several nieces and nephews, some of whom were raised in the Wolken home. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward D., her parents, three sisters, one brother and a half-brother.
