Carpenter Jr. Mrs. Hudson died Sunday, Feb. 24, at Sheffield Medical Center, The Methodist Oaks, where she had recently become a resident. She was born in Elloree, June 5, 1914, a daughter of the late Charlie Vastine and Leona Jourdian Felkel. She was a retired retail department store clerk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elloree, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible class, Missionary Society (Ruby Perkins group), and was a charter member of Elloree Golden Age Club. Survivors include two sons, Charlie Marion and Kay Hudson, Branchville, and Alfred Douglas Hudson Jr., Elloree; one brother, John A. Felkel, Orangeburg; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Felkel home, Elloree, and at Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home of Elloree.
