Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Goldendale, Washington, where she was raised. A 1927 graduate of Goldendale High School, Grandma moved to Seattle and attended business school. She met her future husband at a dance, and on March 8, 1930, she married Dewey Nicholas Donofrio. They were married for 54 years until Dewey's death in 1984. She had one child Katrina Ann who preceded her in death in 1982. Grandma is survived by her seven grandchildren and their spouses: Linda (John Filippi, Steve (Josie) Donofrio, Teresa (Marvin) Merritt, Larry (Toni) Donofrio, Chi-Chi (Kathy) Lhotka, Darryl Lhotka and Juanita (Matt) Kupperman; her 17 great-grandchildren: Sheila (Casey Carlisle) Lhotka, Christopher (Mary) Combs, Michael Merritt, Johnathan Halbakken, Mark Merritt, Nicholas Donofrio, Emily Robey, Jeffrey Donofrio, Katrina Lhotka, April Flippi, Scott Lhotka, Jessica Lhotka, Corey Kupperman, Aimee Filippi, Mariah Donofrio, Logan Kupperman and Tari Donofrio, and her four great-great-grandchildren: Jason Carlisle, Elizabeth Combs, Joseph Carlisle and Noah Combs. In addition to housewife and mother, she worked as the bookkeeper for Dewey's building and contractor business. She worked as a sales clerk for Frederick and Nelson and then. The Bon Marche where she retired after 20 years. Once retired, she took on the loving task of raising her oldest great-grandchild, Sheila, who became like a daughter to her and had the privilege the seeing her grown up with her own family. Grandma is best remembered as an avid Mariner's fan who followed every pre-season and season game. Great-great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Noah, Jason & Joseph. Preceded in death by her husband Dewey and daughter Katrina Lhotka, she was an avid Mariner's fan.
