Description	:	Last Rites Held For Former Miller Resident Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church on Tuesday afternoon, April 15 for Mrs. Roy Palmer of Rapid City, a former resident of Miller, who passed away on April 10 at Lincoln, Nebraska. Reverend A. H. Hornish officiated. Interment was made at the G.A.R. Cemetery. Derla Danburg sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and a mixed quartette sang “Rock of Ages” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. She was baptized and confirmed at Saint Michael’s Lutheran church of Orient and spent her childhood days in that community. On October 6, 1925 she married Roy Palmer. To this union three children were born, Calvin Arthur, Shirley Jean and Willard Duane. She resided in Miller with her family until 1942 when they moved to Rapid City. Mr. and Mrs. Palmer were returning from a vacation trip in Kentucky and while visiting friends in Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Palmer suffered a heart attack. After a short illness of 23 years she passed away at nine o’clock, Thursday, April 10. She is survived by her husband, Roy, three children and three great grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Palmer and Cathy, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Palmer, Roxy and Shelia, all of Rapid City. Four brothers and three sisters: Lewis Meissner of Orient; Frank Meissner of Miller; Ernest Meissner, of Rapid City and August Meissner of Highmore. Mrs. Philip Forman of Orient, Mrs. Helen Clement of Miller and Mrs. Roy Ramey of Worthington, Minn.
