Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Scott Alewine, Dr. Richard Belcher, and the Rev. Odell Breland officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tommy McPherson, William McPherson, Travis Smoak, Archie McPherson, Craig McPherson, Mendel Miller and Dwayne Metts. Honorary pallbearers will be Like Dyches, Walter Bonnette, Dr. James Wells, Dr. Frank Culler, Dr. Bernie Johnson, Dr. Alan Jolles, Alan Antley, Gene Antley, Jerry Antley, Ricky Antley and all Adult Men of Covenant Baptist Church. Mrs. Ott was born July 24, 1928, in Cordova, a daughter of the late Henry Arthur Gibson and Lottie Rast Gibson. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 35 years and church Secretary. She was employed by Sunbeam for 19 and a half years and retired from Hughes Aircraft. Survivors include her husband, Nesbeth Mendel Ott of Cope; two daughters, Mrs. W.T. (Beverly) McPherson and Mrs. Randall (Janet) Miller, both of Cope; sister, Mrs. Gene (Ernestine) Shealey of Aiken; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bower S. Gibson of Holly Hill; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence and Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
