He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. He was a Big Gamecock Fan. He was preceded in death by his first wife and Mother of his children; Hilda G. Ott; 2 brothers, Warren Ott and O. E. Ott, 1 sister; Lois Brickle and a daughter, Julia Nesbeth Ott. Survivors include his wife, Sara Ott; 2 daughters; Beverly and Billy McPherson and Janet and Randall Miller; 7 grandchildren; Travis, Craig, William, Archie, Tommy, Amy and Mendel; 16 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Nell Fogle and Mary Mack and a number of nieces and nephews; Caregivers; Carolyn Hall, Alexander Ritter and Cynthia Ritter. Friends may call at his home and at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg; www.thompsonfh.net.
