Description	:	Services for long-time Swaburg resident, Mrs. Hilda M. Kelley, were held at Elim Evangelical Lutheran Church, Swaburg. The Rev. F. Van Boening officiated, with songs performed by Mr. and Mrs. John Monson and accompanied by Mrs. Alvis Petersen. Pallbearers: Ernest Swanson, Richard Nelson, Charles Westergren, Harold Bergquist, John Larson and Emil Peterson. Mrs. Kelley was born in the Swaburg community on the homestead of her parents, Swedish-born Nels and Elna Andersdotter Martenson, and died at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 8 days. Baptized at an early age in the Lutheran faith, she was confirmed at Elim Church with the class of 1890. She attended the old Martenson School near her home in the former District No. 54. As a young woman, she had employment for a number years n Omaha. On 10 January 1914, in Chester Hill Co., Montana, she was united in marriage to the Rev. Isaac Pleasant Kelley, widower of the late Susannah Johnston Kelley, and with him served in Montana Methodist Church parishes in Helena and Calispel. Following the death of the pastor, Mrs. Kelley and the children moved back to her old home in Swaburg and later to CA where she resided with her daughter, Margaret. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her son Joesph Ophie, b. 1/24/1917 d. 6/24/1944 CA; and a sister, Anna Matilda Lund. (Mrs. Lars L. Lund.) Survivors include: her daughter Mrs. Margaret J. Kelley Hollingsworth Bennett, a son Nels Oscar Kelley.; a sister Hannah Edina Olson, (Mrs. Otto Olson), Fremont, NE, 2 grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
