Description	:	Mrs. Dilphen M. Veinotte 1974 Bridgewater Bulletin Mrs. Hilda May Veinotte, aged 93, Newburne's oldest resident, died at her home on July 4, 1974, after a brief illness. Born in Maplewood December 7, 1880, she was fourth of the eight children of Nathan and Rachel (Saunders) Wentzell. Surviving are her daughter, Leah (Mrs. Clarence Scott) of Lower Sackville; four sons, Raymond and Ralph of Livermore Falls, Maine; and Aubrey of Readfield, Maine; Basil of Newburne; a sister, Lucy (Mrs. Roy Morris), of Portland, Maine; two brothers, Everette of Maplewood and Maynard of Portland, Maine; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two... She was predeceased by her husband in 1937; son, Walter in 1936; sisters, Damey, Minnie and Nina and brother, Judson. Funeral service was held in Parkdale Emmanuel Baptist Church, of which she was a member, on July 7 at 2 p.m. Rev. Carroll Armstrong officiated and spoke on "The Path of Life." The church choir sang her favourites, "Good Night and Good Morning" and "My Saviour First of All." Pall bearers were three nephews, Margeson Wentzell, Maynard Veinot and Gordon Wentzell; and three grand-nephews, Ronald Grimm, Douglas Wentzell, and Donald Beck. Interment was in the Newburne Cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
