Mrs. Albers had enjoyed remarkably good health, although troubled at times by a rupture. She was the wife of John Albers and was one of the pioneer residents of Plymouth County. Mrs. Albers had enjoyed remarkably good health, although troubled at times by a rupture. She was the wife of John Albers and was one of the pioneer residents of Plymouth County. Her maiden name was Hilka Katrlna Renken and she was born at Ost Friesland, Germany, 76 years ago. When young she came to this country. In 1867 she was united in marriage with John-Albers at Monticello, Iowa. To their union seven children were born, six of whom survive: John, George, Herman, Hannah Albers and Mrs. Chas. Plueger, of the county, Mrs. Ernest Rath, of Madison, S.D. A daughter Mrs. Fred Harms, died some years ago. John Albers, husband of the deceased, died on February 24, 1913. Mrs. Albers was a devoted wife and mother and was one of the many women who with their husbands helped build up the prairie country. She came here with her husband in 1870 and they homesteaded in Grant Township where the family has made its home since. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Grant Township church, Rev. J.D.
