The birth of Mrs. Scheer occurred in Wayne township December 22, 1870. She was therefore 67 years of age at the time of her death. Her parents were Harm and Maria Harms. She grew to young womanhood in Wayne township and attended the rural schools. She was married to Adam Scheer, September 12, 1889. Three children were born to this union. Henry of Springville, Herman of Center Point, and Edna, Mrs. Rudolph Wendling of Auburn, Neb. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Iben of Manchester, John Harms of Anamosa, and Herman and Gerd Harms of Monticello Mrs. Scheer leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn her death. NOTE: The obit shows place of death as Jones Co., IA however her death certificate shows death occurred at Center Point, Linn Co, IA. Also the obit shows birth as Dec. 22, 1870 and death certificate also show 1870, but the gravestone show year as 1869.
