A. Maxson of Des Moines. Rev. C. W. Hempstead of Stuart officiated and Mrs. E. I. Lawton was at the piano playing serveral selections. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Services had been held at Des Moines Saturday morning. Mr. Maxson's immediate family and many relatives and friends from out of town were present for the services at Victor. A son of Thades and Lydia Maxson, he was born near Springdale, July 1, 1866. On Aug. 10, 1892, he was married to Myrta E. Phelps of Wyoming, Ia. They moved to Victor in 1905, remaining here until 1925, when they went to Des Moines, where they have since resided. Mr. Maxson had retained his membership in the Victor Congregational church. He was affiliated with the Masons and Order of Eastern Star and formerly held membership in the Modern Woodman and Sons and Daughters of Unon Veterans. Among those who survive are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Jordan of Honolulu and Mrs. Ruth Angerer of West Liberty; one son, Arthur of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, W. S. Maxson of West Branch and R. Y. Maxson of Eldora, and one sister, Mrs. Candance Negus of West Branch.
