Description	:	Hinrich Boe, 82, passed away Friday, January 30, 1920, at the Yankton Hospital in Yankton. Mr. Boe had been in failing health for the past three months. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, from the Boe home with the Rev. O. M. Odland, pastor of the Trinity Church officiating. Burial will be in Yankton City Cemetery, Yankton, South Dakota. Hinrich Boe was born May 2, 1837, in Teschendorf, Island of Fehmarn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Jurgen Mathaeus and Anna Catharina (Seyer) Boe. He was raised in his native land. He married Margaretha Sophia Heldt on January 13, 1860, in Landkirchen, Fehmarn, Germany. Together they immigrated to the United States to Jackson County, Iowa, in 1880. They then moved to Yankton County, South Dakota in 1881, where they farmed. Due to failing health for them both, they retired and moved into their new home at 504 Pearl Street, Yankton, in 1916. Margaretha preceded her in death on October 13, 1919. Mr. Boe earned within the community, the greatest respect and affection from friends and all who knew him. Surviving are two sons, Peter (Mary) Boe and George Boe, both of Yankton; three daughters, Maria Kaufmann and Gertrude Boe and Margaret Boe, all of Yankton; seven grandchildren; and one sister in Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons, Jurgen, Carl, and Ferdinand Boe, one son-in-law, Peter Kaufmann.
