Description	:	Funeral services for Hiram Dawson Fitzgerald, 82, prominent Nelson County farmer, who died at his home at Beech Grove Sunday morning at 9:55, were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Beech Grove Christian Church with the Rev. J. L. McKinney, pastor of the church, and the Rev. J. M. Duckwall, pastor of the Rockfish Presbyterian Church, in charge. Mr. Fitzgerald was the father of former Constable Frank M. J. L. McKinney, pastor of the church, and the Rev. J. M. Duckwall, pastor of the Rockfish Presbyterian Church, in charge. Mr. Fitzgerald was the father of former Constable Frank M. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Carrie E. Quick, and Mrs. Beulah Fitzgerald,all of Waynesboro and B. Glenn Fitzgerald of Sherando. The aged man had been in serious condition since he suffered a fall on Christmas day. Later other complications set in that resulted in his death. Burial will be in the family plot in the "Presbyterian Grave yard at Beech Grove, beside the body of his wife, Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, who preceded him to the grave in 1926. Children who survive other than those in Waynesboro, are Mrs. Lottie Dodd, Lancaster, Pa., and Mrs. Jerry E. Falls, of Roseland. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Nancy Small, Staunton, a brother, O. B. Fitzgerald, Nelson County, and 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be grandsons of the deceased, George W. Fitzgerald, Erlen Ray Fitzgerald, Marvin L. Fitzgerald, and Thomas Quick, of Waynesboro, B. G. Fitzgerald Jr., of Stuarts Draft and Jerry Everett Falls, of Roseland. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben S. Dodd, T. T. Campbell, Maphis Campbell, O. A. McGann, Luther McGann, C. L. Thompson, Worthy Thompson, J. R. Lowe, Garnett Ewing and J. T. Quick. Flower girls will be his granddaughters, Mrs. Charles Falconer, Mrs. Clarence Carey, Mrs. Thomas B.
