Hobert Henry Almeling, son of August and Matilda Almeling, nee Schnoor, was born in New Melle, Nov. 10, 1898. He was baptized in the New Melle Lutheran Church, Dec. 25, 1898. and was confirmed March 31, 1911. On Sept. 2, 1925, he married Miss Erna Holt, and 5 children were born to this union, four of whom died in infancy. His wife passed away Sept. 17, 1934. On Feb. 7, 1937, he married Miss Nelda Hommes. Most of his life was spent in New Melle, and about ten years ago, he and his wife moved to St. Charles- Surviving are his widow, a son ________ Almeling; a stepdaughter, a sister, Mrs. Emil Holt of Wentzville; a brother, Clarence Almeling of New Melle, , and other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday, March 2, at St. Johns Evangelical Church, Rev. Walter Holtz officiating. Burial in Cappeln cemetery. We offer our sympathy.
