He was born Oct. 2, 1911 in Lick Creek Township, Davis County, Iowa. He was the son of John & Mabel Nevada Moore Huffman. He married Jessie Ila Harrison on July 3, 1931 in Fairfield. The funeral services were on Wed., May 2, 1990 at the Behner Funeral Home with Rev. William Huffman officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa. Visitation was on Tuesday evening. Memorials may be made to the Libertyville Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Robert M. Huffman; two daughters, Phyllis E. Martin, Toledo, Ia and Judith A. Filby of Des Moines; ten grandchildren; three sisters: Dorothy McCleary & Wilda Ferrel of Fairfield and Thelma Smith of Libertyville, Ia; two brothers, J. Donald Huffman of Batavia, Ia and R. Keith Huffman, Ottumwa, Ia. He was preceded in death by his wife on Feb. 23, 1983 and his son, Glen Arnold Huffman on Jan. 31, 1985. Mr. Huffman graduated from Libertyville High School in 1930 and had spent 48 years in the Packwood and Libertyville area on a farm and four years in Fairfield, Ia before moving to Kahoka in 1984. Following the death of his wife, Jessie in 1983, he moved to Kahoka near his son, Robert and spent the next 7 years there. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Ia.
