Buchecker, Aged 60, Dies In Hospital: Homer C. Buchecker, aged 60 of R.D.1, died at Salem City hospital Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. where he had been taken earlier in the day after having suffered a heart attack. A son of John and Melissa Lippley Buchecker, he was born in Unity township on February 8, 1897. On September 21, 1918 he was married to Mildred Augustine who survives. All of his life was spent in this vicinity. He was self employed as a farmer until two years ago when he retired. There are four daughters, Mrs. Jess Ward and Mrs. Glen Hostetter, both of R.D. 1, Mrs. William Richey of R.D. 1, Petersburg and Mrs. William Dunn of Naples, Fla. A son John, also resides at R.D.1. A sister, Mrs. Ora Millen lives in Columbiana and a brother, Raymond preceded him in death three months ago. Nine grandchildren also survive. He was a member of the United Church of Christ of Unity and the Unity Grange. The Rev. Dr. D.A. Bode of Youngstown, former paster of the Unity church will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Van Dyke Funeral home. Burial will take place in the United Church of Christ cemetery at Unity. The Family will meet friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home. CARD OF THANKS: we wish to thank all those who were so kind and thoughtful during our recent bereavement, especially the Van Dyke Funeral home, East Palestine First Aid department for their wonderful service, all friends and neighbors who spent flowers and food and helped in so many ways, Dr. D.A.
