Description	:	Homer Robinson Former Westfield Man, Died In North Dakota News has been received by the Sentinel, that Homer Eugene Robinson, a resident of Plymouth county for many years, passed away at his home near Dawson, North Dakota, Thursday, January 22, from after effects of a severe attack of pneumonia suffered a year ago. Read More	Homer Robinson Former Westfield Man, Died In North Dakota News has been received by the Sentinel, that Homer Eugene Robinson, a resident of Plymouth county for many years, passed away at his home near Dawson, North Dakota, Thursday, January 22, from after effects of a severe attack of pneumonia suffered a year ago. The following obituary was received from his family: "He was born at Andover, Illinois, March 2, 1862, and was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Robinson. When about six years of age his parents left Illinois, going to Florida to live, shortly after the end of the Civil War. A year later, they moved to Madison, Georgia, residing there until 1875, when they moved to Iowa, settling at Boone. Later they came to Le Mars, where they bought a farm south of town. When Homer became of age he engaged in farming for himself near Le Mars. Later he and his brother bought a farm at Westfield, Plymouth County, Iowa. This is where he met and married Miss Belle Martin. To this union were born 10 children, eight sons and two daughters. Three sons preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, his sons, Eugene, George, Arthur, Ralph and Floyd,his daughters, Mrs. Carrie Tallon and Mrs. Helen Nelson, also 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. S. M. Sparling of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. W. J. Stokes of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. James Hassard of San Francisco, Calif.. Six nephews and seven nieces also survive. Mr. Robinson reverenced the Christian faith and endeavored to live up to his ideals, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He possessed kindly genial disposition, well liked and respected by all who knew him. He was a loving father and husband. An outstanding feature of his family and one of which to be proud, is the fact that none of these sons and daughters use tobacco or liquor in any form. Many will regret the passing of this good man."
