Description	:	Thurs., July 13, 1978 Record Herald & Indianola Tribune Funeral services for Homer L. Sparks, 74, of Spring Hill were held Wednesday morning, at Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in Webb Cemetery. Mr. Sparks was dead on arrival at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, Sunday morning. A native of Missouri, he had lived in Spring Hill since 1914. He was employed by Acoustical Specialties, Inc., of Des Moines for many years before his retirement in 1973. He was a long-term member of Carpenters Local No. 106. Surviving are four sons, David, Richard and William, all of Spring Hill, and Gary of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Shackleford of Tuscon, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Jacob Sparks of Spring Hill, and three sisters, Mrs. Edna Moore of Globe, Ariz., Mrs. Helen Llewellyn of Des Moines, and Mrs. Icyle Rinard of Spring Hill.
