Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Allan M. Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. There will be a prayer service for the immediate family at 1:30 Tuesday at the Dahn Woodhouse Funeral Home. The casket will not be opened in the church. Mr. Stratemeyer, whose home was at 802 North Court Street, had been a resident here for 87 years, coming from Garnavillo, where he was born Sept 25, 1874. He was a son of George H. and Mary A. Schroeder Stratemeyer. On June 22, 1904, he was married to Nettie D. Shebeck, who preceded him in death in 1958. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder; I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 279, of which he was a past noble grand; and Central Rebekah Lodge No. 191. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stanford (Elizabeth Mary) Arts, Eugene, Ore.; a son, Craig Homer Stratemeyer, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
