Description	:	Webster City Freeman Journal, June 9, 2006 Nona Cormaney, 75, of Webster City, died Monday, June 5, 2006 in a two vehicle accident north of Blairsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Revs. John Flaherty and William Dawson, celebrants. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and prior to the Mass at the church on Friday. The recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:45 p.m. followed by a scripture service at 7 p.m. Nona Marie Dawson, daughter of Frank and Mary Holland Dawson, was born January 11, 1931 at Ottumwa, Iowa. She graduated from Ottumwa high school in 1948 and attended the Western Union school for one year. She was employed at Western Union at Fort Dodge for several years. On May 25, 1957, she married Lester D. Cormaney at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Ottumwa. The couple farmed south of Webster City. For over 18 years, she had worked at the Hamilton Hospital as a certified nursing assistant. Mr. Cormaney died March 28, 1985. She retired in 1993. She provided home care for Nona Finch for several years and George Aden from 1994 to 2004. Nona is survived by sons, Michael, John and Jeff Cormaney, all of Webster City; James Cormaney of Fort Dodge; daughters, Anita Balsley of Indianola; Alice Johnson of Seymour, TN; 6 grandchildren; a great-grandson; sister, Catherine Moyer of Ottumwa; brother, Larry Dawson of Tucson, AZ; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Margaret Atchison in 1990; son-in-law, Craig Johnson; brother, John Dawson; sisters, Mary Daggett and Rita Sayles. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, RSVP and helped with U-Share.
