He came to Van Buren County, Iowa, when he was three years old and had been a constant resident ever since. He was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Alice Huffman, Dec. 24, 1878, and to this union five children were born, one of whom died in infancy. Surviving him, besides his widow, are the following children: Mrs. Henry Schaefer, of Burlington; Mrs. Guy McVey, of Ft. Madison; John H. Jameson, of Atkinson, WI; and William O. Jameson, at home. There are also 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A short funeral service, in charge of Rev. M. D. Cox, pastor of Keosauqua M. E. Church, was held at the grave Friday afternoon and burial in Purdom Cemetery.
