Description	:	Horace Gear Dead Horace W. Gear died this morning at his home on East High street, of heart trouble. He was 67 years of age. He was prominent in this village and for years was a well-known locomotive engineer, having had C. H. & I. and Western runs. He had been a resident of Oxford since 1888 and was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the 167th and 8th O.V.I. He was born in Oxford township and formerly lived in Hamilton. He leaves a widow and one daughter, Mrs. J. W. Keeley of Indianapolis. The services were the charge of Millikin Post, No. 228, G.A.R., of which he was a member and past commander. Burial in College Corner Cemetery.
