Howard grew up in the Canova, SD area. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canova. He attended country school and later Burbank High School where he graduated in 1943. After high school he worked on the family farm until enlisting in the US Army in 1950. He served his country and was on the front lines in Korea until 1952. He served with my dad, Martin Bosch. Once he returned home he started farming with his brother Robert 'Pete'. The brothers worked the farm together until Howard started to have health problems. Shortly before passing away he had become a resident of the Howard Good Samaritan Society. He enjoyed playing softball, playing cards, fishing and visiting with family and friends. According to his obituary he was a beloved brother and uncle and he will be greatly missed by them and all of his family and friends.
