He is survived by two daughters, Cecil, of Waynesboro and Ruby at home; the following brothers and sisters: H. H. Fauber of Spottswood, W. C. Fauber of Waynesboro, H. W. Fauber of Lexington, and H. F. Fauber of Vesuvius; Mrs. Willye Wood, Mr. Eliza Jane Bradley of Vesuvius and Mrs. Ethel Hite of Staunton. Funeral services were conducted in the Sherando Methodist Church with Rev. E. R. Thayer of Staunton in charge, on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Scripture lesson taken from Ecclesiastes 12th chapter was read by Rev. J. Calvin Dugger of the Main Street Methodist Church in Waynesboro; prayer was offered by Rev. W. R. Eskew, pastor of the Methodist Church in West Union, W. Va.; a fitting tribute was paid to the memory of the deceased by a former pastor and close friend of the family, Rev. Howard R. Wriston of Powellton, W. Va.; and Rev. Mr. Campbell a friend and neighbor spoke of the high esteem in which the deceased was held. Mr. Fauber was a life-long member and trustee of the Sherando Methodist Church, also was a teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a hard-working man, generous, kind, possessed of an unusual jovial disposition, and seldom if ever complained of his troubles. He met life with a smile and the contagion of his cheerful disposition will be long remembered by those who knew and loved him. The large attendance at the funeral and the many floral gifts were evidences of the high regard in which he was held. Hymns used were: "A Charge to Keep I Have," "The Eastern Gate," and "It Is Well With My Soul." Flower girls were: Mildred and Marian Fauber, and Elva Coffey of Stuarts Draft, Catherine Hite of Staunton, Myrtle and Agnes Fauber of Vesuvius, Eula Dedrick, Mary and Angie Coiner of Sherando and Alice Gosnell of Greenville. Pallbearers included: active, G. F. Coiner, Clark Loving, Charles Ritenour, Frank Fitzgerald, Robert Alexa, and James Matheney; honorary, Thomas Blackard, Hershy Lunsford, Donald Fauber, Billy Fauber, Randolph Fauber, Harry Fauber, Otho Bradley, David Hite, and Floyd Carter. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Waynesboro News Virginian-date of paper: July 26, 1939
