Following a happy afternoon of play at a neighbor's he was suddenly stricken ill, sinking into a coma from which he never rallied. He had been a sufferer from diabetes for sometime. His sudden death came as a terrible blow, and he entire community is now bowed down in grief, sorrowing with the bereaved family. Howard Norman Lindgren, was born in Swaburg, May 27, 1912, and died July 21, 1924, aged 12 years, 1 month and 24 days. He was a sturdy brave little boy, industrious and ever willing to assist in any task, no matter how difficult, that came to his notice. He was a favorite among his playmates and friends, his ardent loyalty to them being one of the outstanding qualities of his character . He was a pupil of the Swaburg school and had been an attendant at the Elim Lutheran Sunday school. Besides the grief stricken parents he is survived by two brothers, Harvey and Julian, and four sisters, Virena (Mrs. Silas Anderson) of Rosalie, and Hazel, May and Marion. The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon, with services at one o'clock at the home, followed by services at Swaburg Lutheran church conducted by Rev. J. S. Benson. Interment will be made in the family lot in the church cemetery.hhw
