Description	:	H. F. Nelson Dies After Lengthy Illness Hubert Fritz (Shorty) Nelson, 46, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa following an illness of nine months. Mr. Nelson was born in Scotland County, Januray 14, 1916, the son of Mrs. Edith Kerr Nelson and the late Fred E. Nelson. He was a well known farmer living north of Arbela, with his family. Nelson Dies After Lengthy Illness Hubert Fritz (Shorty) Nelson, 46, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa following an illness of nine months. Mr. Nelson was born in Scotland County, Januray 14, 1916, the son of Mrs. Edith Kerr Nelson and the late Fred E. Nelson. He was a well known farmer living north of Arbela, with his family. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church. He was married to Miss Reva Jones of Granger at the Luray Methodist Church on January 28, 1939. To this union two daughters, were born, Ann and Nancy Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife, Reva, his daughters, Mrs. Ann Barker of Granger, Miss Nancy Elizabeth Nelson of the home, his mother, Mrs. Edith Nelson of Arbela, one grandson, Stanley Alden Barker, two sisters, Miss Esta Mae Nelson of Washington, DC, Mrs. Stephen Ellis of Coffeyville, Kansas, one brother, C. R. Nelson of Arbela. Funeral services were held Wednesday at two p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, Rev. Frank Barnett officiating and burial in the church cemetery.
