Hubert was preceded in death by his best friend and wife Faye Leach Carroll, daughter-in-law Mary Carroll, parents Sam and Nettie Carroll, brother J.C. Carroll and sisters, Jessie Spangler, Thelma Hickman and Geneva Niekirk. He is survived by his son, Ronnie Carroll of Farragut, and fiancé Karen Rader, granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Rhonda & Scott Sims of Nashville and Ginny & Thomas Herrick of Farragut, his four adored great-grandchildren, Virginia and Lydia Sims, Sam and Lily Herrick, sister, Ruth Bailey, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Arden and Louise Leach, Elmon Leach, Russell and Joyce Leach, Wayne Leach, Millard and Janet Summers and many nephews and nieces including special, loving caregiver, Pat Carroll and his regular Sunday visitor, Vicky Heatherly. Hubert was born December 27, 1923, in Speedwell, TN. He married his childhood sweetheart, Faye, on July 17, 1945. Throughout their 68-year marriage, Faye and Hubert were best friends and constant companions. Their love for each other was a Godly example to all who knew them. Hubert was a long time employee of LaFollette Hardware and Lumber Company and finished his work at Kash and Karry Building Supply. Hubert loved working with Faye in his garden and spending time with his loved ones, especially his devoted son and daughter-in-law, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. He faithfully served the Lord at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church for almost 60 years, where he was a deacon, taught children's Sunday School, participated on many committees and joyfully sang in the choir. He faithfully worked alongside his bride to bring wonderful food and generous hospitality to many gatherings with family and friends. The Carroll family is grateful for the care and love given by the LaFollette Court Assisted Living Community. The friendships Hubert made there with residents and staff over the last year were a great blessing and brought him much happiness. The family is also thankful for the caring 4th floor staff of the Heart Hospital at UT Medical Center. Receiving friends will be Tuesday, May 17, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, 604 South Indiana Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Family and friends will meet for graveside services Wednesday morning at 11:00 at Campbell County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to either the Campbell County Children's Center, 192 Sawmill Circle, LaFollette, TN 37757 or Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, 604 South Indiana Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766, in memory of Hubert Carroll.
