Description	:	Hugh Miller, 89, of Clemons, IA, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St. Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow the luncheon at Clemons Cemetery. Hugh Eugene Miller was born June 29, 1925, to Hugh and Flossie (Cox) Miller in rural Marshall County. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. Hugh was united in marriage to Rhoda Burrell on September 9, 1950, she passed away in 1986. He was remarried to Florence Klopmeyer Lewis on July 22, 1987. Hugh owned a gas station in Hubbard, and also a motor cycle shop in Dayton for some years. He then worked for 10 years at Case IH in Dayton and retired from LE Meyers. Hugh was the mayor of Clemons in the 1980's and was also a member of the State Center American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring old tractors, building remote control boats and reading, especially history books. Hugh is survived by his wife, Florence Miller, children: Jenny Schulze, of Nevada, IA, Curtis (Lynette) Miller, of Marshalltown, IA, Shelie McCown, of Jefferson, MD; step-children: Patricia (Jim) Davis, of Clemons, and Grady (Ann) Lewis, of New Sharon, IA; eight grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 9 step great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Manning, of Henderson, NV and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Hugh E. Miller, 89, of Clemons, IA, were held March 13, 2015, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street, Marshalltown, Iowa, with Bobby Shomo officiating. Casket Bearers were Devon Miller, Dylan Miller, Adam Davis, Shawn Davis, Lance Miller and Matthew Lewis. Honorary Bearers were Jaime Schulze, Candise Eigenberger, Amanda Garcia, Nicole Middleswart, Tonia Schossow and Dawn Harrell. A group from LE Meyers was in attendance. Hugh was laid to rest at Clemons Cemetery in Clemons, IA. Anderson Homes were entrusted with the arrangements.
