Description	:	MECHANICSVILLE, Iowa -- Hugh "Jerry" Lamont, 62, of Comanche and Mechanicsville, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., from pancreatic cancer. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel. Mr. Lamont was president and chief executive officer of the Clinton (Iowa) Area Development Corp., retiring in 2007. Surviving are his wife, Carol, of Comanche; and two sons, Hugh John and Sean Christian Lamont, both of Cedar Rapids.
