He died on September 23, 1972 and is buried at St. John's cemetery, Hooper, Nebraska. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Obituary The Fremont Tribune September 25, 1972 Hooper- Services for Hugo Hoegermeyer, 53, will be 2 p.m. Tuesdaya at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kenneth Ernstmeier will officiate. Hoegermeyer died Saturday at an Omaha hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1919, near Hooper and lived in the area his entire life. He married Evelyn Krohn on Sept. 2, 1951, at Fremont. Hoegermeyer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and Cornelius Tillman American Legion Post 18. Survivors include his widow; sons, Merle and Larry, both at home; mother, Mrs. Lydia Hoegermeyer, Hooper; brother, Walter, Herman; and sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Verna) Hilgenkamp, Arlington. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. today. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery with military graveside services. Warne Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
