Gebhardt conducted the sercies at St. John's Lutheran Church, and interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Hoegermeyer passed away on Sunday night. He had been ill for the ---- months. He was aged 78 years, 9 months and 3 days. Music for the service was by the St. John's Lutheran Church Choir, with Miss Joan Suhr as organist. Pallbearers were Arnold Hoegermeyer, Allen Hoegermeyer, Gerald Hoegermeyer, Arlen Hilgenkamp, Arthur Wittmann and Wallace Wittmann. Born at Hooper Nov. 18, 1887, he was the son of Henry H. and Maria Hoegermeyer. He married Lydia Wittmann on Jan. 19, 1916, and they celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1966. The couple resided on a farm north of Hooper until 1951, when they retired and moved to Hooper. Mr. Hoegermeyer was baptized and confirmed in the St. Johns Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member. He served on a number of boards and committees, and was active in comunity affairs, having served as a member of the Hooper Village Board. Mr. Hoegermeyer is survivied by his wife; two sons, Walter of Herman and Hugo of Hooper; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Verna) Hilgenkamp of Arlington; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Herman of Hooper. Six sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. He had been in failing health for the last six months. Survivors include two sons, Walter of Herman, and Hugo of Hooper; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Verna) Hilgenkamp, Arlington; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Herman of Hooper. Mr. Hoegermeyer had been very active in comminity affairs, having served on various boards and committees for various organizations.
