Silver, wife of Dennis Silver, Nineveh, Nova Scotia, a very highly esteemed resident of this community, passed away at her home here on the evening of January the 4th, and news on the passing away of her natural life here to the great beyond was received with obstruse sorrow and has cast a deep gloom over the entire community. Though she had been complicated with different ailments and consquently in delicate health for several years, she managed to keep around attending to her domestic affairs and the end hadn't been looked for so soon. She was very highly esteemed in the community as a zealous Christian, a good wife, a loving mother, and a substantial neighbour, always ready to succour those in need of help. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Veinot of Hemford, Nova Scotia and was born February 21st, 1888 and moved here with her husband some twenty-one years ago where she continued to live during the remainder of her life. The deceased leaves to mourn their loss besides a sorrowing husband; one daughter, Lavella and one son, Clement, both at home; also three sisters, Mrs. James Crouse and Mrs. Alvin Smith, both of North Brookfield; and Mrs. Solomon Crouse of Bestel, Ontario; and four brothers, Ingram Veinot of North Brookfield; and Angus, Leander, Fred, and Naamen D. Veinot, all of Hemford. In religion, Mrs. Silver was a member of the Lutheran Church and was ever prompt and active in church affairs for the religious education of her children and the betterment of her home and the community in which she lived. Her funeral, which took place at he rhome on Saturday, the 7th. of January, at 1:30 p.m., was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near and conducted by the Rev. Mr. Gordier of Wentzell's Lake. Interment, after the funeral services at Emmanuel Church, took place at Hemford Cemetery, where the people of this place at this time tendered the sorrowing husband and children of the deceased their heartfelt sympathy and condolence.
