Description	:	Ida Augusta, known also as Edith, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Krause, was born November 3, 1870 near Bloomington, Illinois where she grew to young womanhood. In 1887 the family moved to a farm near Byron, Thayer County, Nebraska. In September 1888 she was married to Dick Swaney and they made their home for a few years on a farm in the neighborhood. Read More	Ida Augusta, known also as Edith, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Krause, was born November 3, 1870 near Bloomington, Illinois where she grew to young womanhood. In 1887 the family moved to a farm near Byron, Thayer County, Nebraska. In September 1888 she was married to Dick Swaney and they made their home for a few years on a farm in the neighborhood. Later, in 1895, she became the wife of William J. Dugger. For a time they lived in Iowa, then resided in the vicinity of Belleville, Ks., until the death of Mr. Dugger on January 7, 1899. From that time on, she made her home with her parents. In 1908 she moved with her father into Byron, her mother having passed away in 1904. The remainder of her life was spent in Byron, until by reason of poor health, she was unable to live alone. For the lat five years she has been a patient in the Lutheran Home at Hebron. She was baptized into the Methodist Church at Byron in 1945 by the Rev. Marion Holbert Davidson. She passed away at the Lutheran Home on May 17, 1961, at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 14 days. Those of her family who preceded her in death were her father and mother; five brothers, Charles, Rein, Emil, John and Harry; two sisters, Elizabeth and Alice. Those left to mourn her passing are Mrs. Mary Dry of Chester; Mrs. Ruby Ward of Riverside, Ill.; George Krause of Lincoln; nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 21st, at 2 p.m. at the Montgomery-Tibbetts-Cotter Chapel in Hebron. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic). Music was by Mrs. Norval Lomax and Paul Harmon. Pallbearers were Louis Artz, Alvin Grueber, Guy Swartz, Fred Mohrmann, Clarence Frye and Floyd Boyer.
