She was born December 31, 1907 at Tecumseh, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dave D. & Della May Harrelson Parsons. She was raised and attended school in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Read More	Chanute Tribune, The (KS) - Wednesday, March 15, 2006 Ida Beatrice Ramsey, 98, of Chanute, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 at Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute. She was born December 31, 1907 at Tecumseh, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dave D. & Della May Harrelson Parsons. She was raised and attended school in Shawnee, Oklahoma. While living in Oklahoma, she ran her father's grocery store, worked as a receptionist at a doctor's office, was a telephone operator, and as a clerk at a department store. After moving to Chanute, she was a homemaker, but also worked at Newberry's, Kress', James Shoe Store, the Egg Plant, and Drake Bakery. She was married to Edgar J. Ramsey on March 2, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died June 26, 1988. Survivors include a son, Ed Ramsey, Jr., and his wife Ernestine, Centralia, Missouri; daughters, Etta Mae Gamble, and her husband, Glen, Wichita, and Nancy Greve, and her husband, Merle, Chanute; a brother, Hershel Parsons, Moore, Oklahoma; 5 Grandchildren, Beth and Jeff Gamble, Glen and Brenda Greve, and Mark Ramsey, and 3 Great Grandsons, Nicholas, Christopher, & Matthew Greve. She was preceded in death by brothers August Haskill Parsons and Woodrow W. Parsons, and a sister Daisy Mae Robinson, and by grandsons Johnny R. Greve and Tommy G. Greve, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Ramsey. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 17, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. She will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, where the family will greet friends 7 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and sent in care of the funeral home.
