Description	:	Ida Cecelia Stuwe, daughter of Elizabeth (Kleinemas) and Fred Stuwe, was born at Hoven on November 20, 1927. She was brought up on the Stuwe farm one mile north of Hoven in Walworth County. Her formal education consisted of St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Hoven High School, Class of 1945. Ceil, as she was best known, married Edwin “Tyson” Reuer at St. Anthony’s Church on June 29, 1948. They settled in Hoven where they owned and operated the Reuer’s Meat Market. Read More	Ida Cecelia Stuwe, daughter of Elizabeth (Kleinemas) and Fred Stuwe, was born at Hoven on November 20, 1927. She was brought up on the Stuwe farm one mile north of Hoven in Walworth County. Her formal education consisted of St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Hoven High School, Class of 1945. Ceil, as she was best known, married Edwin “Tyson” Reuer at St. Anthony’s Church on June 29, 1948. They settled in Hoven where they owned and operated the Reuer’s Meat Market. In 1960, Ceil began her career with the United States Postal Service. She retired as Hoven’s postmaster on November 20, 1987, her 60th birthday. Edwin died June 21, 1979 and Ceil married George Edrich on August 7, 1982. In retirement, George and Ceil enjoyed visiting family and lots of traveling. George died March 5, 2003. Ceil was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Anthony’s Altar Society and several other organizations. She enjoyed walking, playing cards, quilting, golfing, doing jigsaw puzzles , bowling, and having coffee or a beer with her family or friends. She was a fierce competitor! Ceil annually competed in the state Senior Olympics in several events, but some of her proudest accomplishments came while her family was cheering her on to win gold medals at two different National Senior Olympics in race walking. Her third generation summed it up this way—GRANDMA CEIL ROCKS!! Ceil was known for her toughness, quick wit, spunkiness, independence, and gratitude for the simple things in life. A bright light has been added to the Heavens as Ceil was a devout Catholic who attended Mass regularly and lived out her faith daily. In addition to Tyson and George, Ceil was preceded in death by her father, Fred, in 1936; her mother, Elizabeth, in 1948; one son (Dan Reuer); son-in-law (Bobby Dreis); step-son (Bobby Edrich); five brothers (Fred, Henry, Ben, William, Joe); five sisters (Elizabeth Stuwe, Min Schutte, Julia Stuwe, Mary Seurer, and Louise Gerber).
