Ross, a young lady well known and with a wide circle of friends, died at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Saturday, April 11, 1903. Mrs. Sparrow had been unwell for some three years or more and came home to her sister’s in Westernport about three weeks ago but growing worse rapidly consented to go to Baltimore and undergo an operation. The operation brought little relief and death followed. The remains were brought home Sunday. The deceased leaves a father, husband, and one brother, Charles, and two sisters, the later being Mrs. Nettie Dawson of Lord, Md., and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Westernport. The funeral occurred Wednesday from the M.E. Church. Many relatives attended the funeral from Allegany County as did also William Sparrow and Miss Edna Sparrow of Hagerstown.
