Description	:	Ida E. Foster, 89, of Parsons died at 8:44 pm Friday, Jan 31, 1992 at the Labette County Medical Center where she had entered Jan. 26. She had lived in nursing homes for the past 20 years. Her former home was at 1414 Elliott. She was born July 26, 1902, in Burlington to Henry and Icy (Shannon) Monzingo. Read More	Ida E. Foster, 89, of Parsons died at 8:44 pm Friday, Jan 31, 1992 at the Labette County Medical Center where she had entered Jan. 26. She had lived in nursing homes for the past 20 years. Her former home was at 1414 Elliott. She was born July 26, 1902, in Burlington to Henry and Icy (Shannon) Monzingo. As a small child she moved with her family by covered wagon to the area near Woodard, Okla. where they lived in a dugout. Later they moved by covered wagon to the rural area south of Strauss. She and Pearl P. Foster were married Aug. 23, 1920, at Oswego. After their marriage they lived briefly in Colorado and then in Texas before returning to the Parsons area. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1970. Mr Foster died April 19, 1972. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Friendship Southern Baptist Church of Parsons. Survivors include: a son Leo of Mound City; two daughters, Vera Talbot of Coffeyville; and Donna Myers of Dennis; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother George Mozingo of Altamont and two sisters Maggie DcCow of Parsons; and Ada Foster of Altamont. She was preceded in death by an infant son Archie; a son Roscoe; a grandson; a brother and three sisters. The service was this morning at the Burris-Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Rev Dale Bowen and Melvin Owen officiating.
