He died July 31, 1968. She also was preceded in death by three sons. She is survived by two sons, How- ward of Ottumwa and Floyd of Ma- quoketa; three daughters, Marcine Harrington and Joan Woodard, both of Ottumwa, and Maxine Scherer of Eldon; 23 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; a great-greatgrand- son; a brother, Jessie McFarland of Ottumwa; and three sisters, Mildred McFarland, Letha Sidwell and Helen Buchholz, all of Ottumwa. The service will be 9:30 a.m. Sat- urday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home, the Rev. Wayne R. Gjerde of- ficiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard, David, Ron and Craig Scherer, Wayne and Jim Harrington and Randy Woodard. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for the Good Samaritan Center.
