Description	:	Ida M. Stauffer, of Milford, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Crestview Care Center in Milford at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 25 days. She was born June 29, 1908, on a farm near Milford, Nebraska to John & Katie (Erb) Stutzman, the youngest of eight children. As a young girl, Ida attended Stauffer Country School near Milford. Ida later accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in her youth. On February 17, 1927, she was united in marriage to Sterling U. She was born June 29, 1908, on a farm near Milford, Nebraska to John & Katie (Erb) Stutzman, the youngest of eight children. As a young girl, Ida attended Stauffer Country School near Milford. Ida later accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in her youth. On February 17, 1927, she was united in marriage to Sterling U. Stauffer and to this union a son, Orlen, and a daughter, Zona, were born. Together they lived and farmed west of Milford until their retirement in 1971. Ida was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She often would be seen helping others and always sensed when people were in need and would seek them out. In her spare time, Ida loved to quilt, crochet and other needlework. She also was an avid gardener and was a member of East Fairview Mennonite Church where she was a very faithful servent. Ida is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Orlen & Donna Stauffer, daughter, & son-in-law, Zona & Vilas Steckly, all of Milford, six grandchildren, Darcy & Dan Friedli, Barry & Brenda Stauffer, Lanny & Bonnie Stauffer all of Beaver Crossing, Vonda & Van Temple, Los Lunas, NM, Brenda & Dwayne Wenger, Hesston, KS, Blane & Nancy Steckly, Milford, 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Goldie Stahly, Milford, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sterling in 1981, great grandson, Jacob Stauffer, sisters, Ella Kremer, Malinda Kremer, brothers, Leander, Elmer, Wes, Pete & Bert Stutzman. Funeral Services were on Saturday, March 27, 2004, East Fairview Mennonite Church with Rev. Anthony Troyer officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorials have been established to the East Fairview Mennonite Church. Pallbearers were Barry and Lanny Stauffer, D.J. and Dan Friedli, Dwayne Wenger, and Blane
