Description	:	Mrs. J. J. Stokesbary, pioneer resident of Villisca, died Friday morning at her home here at the age of 78 years. she had lived here fifty-seven years. Ida May Brunner was born February 14, 1865 at Port Bryron, Illinois and was married on Christmas Day 1882 to Joshua J. Stokesbary at Orville, Hamilton County, Nebraska. He preceded her in death September 15, 1942. Mrs. Stokesbary was the mother of four daughters, the youngest of whom, Iva May, died in infancy. He preceded her in death September 15, 1942. Mrs. Stokesbary was the mother of four daughters, the youngest of whom, Iva May, died in infancy. The surviving daughters are Mrs. Mabel Roberta Scholey, Hawleyville, Iowa, and Gertrude Thorson and Mrs. Lorene Kelley, Villisca. She leaves also eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. W. S. Bowden of the Advent Christian Church. The singing was by Mrs. Neal Gray and the pall bearers were F. S. Pierson, B. C. Henry, F. O. Selley, J. W. Stallings, Jas. Goodwin, and Elias Lewis. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery beside the husband of the deceased.
